Bob Caron is a teacher, consultant and entrepreneur. He has extensive experience as a coach to business owners and executives. With a diverse background in business, as well as not-for profit organizations, Bob brings together expertise in teaching, counseling psychology, financial consulting, business development and movement sciences. He has more than 14 years of experience training and teaching Zen and martial arts. As the Executive Director and Chief Instructor of the Zen Training Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, Bob provides a unique and exceptional training experience to people wanting to integrate Zen and Aikido principles into their daily lives and has conducted seminars on this topic throughout the United States.
Bob and his wife also own and operate a holistic medical center, called Body Therapeutics, in Worcester, Massachusetts that is on the cutting edge of complementary health care services. Bob has worked as a financial consultant with Smith Barney. He also served as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with Unum, helping numerous people achieve career goals while navigating complex barriers. He has also been a counselor and personal development coach with several non-profit organizations. Bob has extensive public speaking and teaching experience, and has taught courses on counseling at Assumption College as well as education and teaching methods in Boston University’s graduate school. He is currently completing his doctorate in movement sciences at Boston University, where his research focuses on the self-organized nature of change within complex systems, having broad applications to how shifts in the behavior of individuals, groups and organizations emerge due to changing stresses.
In his work at Focus Leadership, Bob has coached numerous business owners and senior leaders, as well as other coaches in the use of the Focus Energy Balance Indicator™ (FEBI™), an integrated personality assessment for developing whole leaders. He is also supporting the growing network of FEBI Certified Consultants in their professional practices. Bob holds an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling and a B.A. in Social and Rehabilitation Services, both from Assumption College, based in Worcester, Massachusetts.
